You know what today is? Today is Wednesday. It's anything can happen day. Recording at the 2014 Daisho Con, in front of a live audience, we talk about Alan Parker's horror-noir genre mashup, "Angel Heart." They say there's enough religion in the world to make men hate each other, but not enough to make them love.

I'd give real money if he'd shut up. Recording at the 2014 Daisho Con, in front of a live audience, we talk to Josh Grelle about the last original cast Star Trek movie (we consider "Generations" a crossover), "Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country." If there is to be a brave new world, our generation is going to have the hardest time living in it.

Niq van der Aa, known online as Detailed-Illusion, is a cosplayer and aspiring costume designer from Ottawa, Ontario. He has been cosplaying since he was 14 years old, going to his first con when he was thirteen as Fai d. Flowright from Tsubasa (which to date is still his all time favourite fictional character). He is an avid gamer, a lover of fantasy and a frequent reader of both American comics and Japanese manga. In high school, Detailed-Illusion studied theatre where he ended up focusing on backstage work as a set and costume designer. After high school, he toured a theatre show to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in Scotland, for which he was both a costume and set designer, as well as a performer. Since, he has dabbled in Fashion Design school (finding it far too slow paced and restrictive for the cosplayer/costumer he is at heart), worked as a costume designer for an independent film project, and of course continued to go to as many cons a year as he can afford, creating plenty of new costumes for each one. He has worked his way up the ranks, entering masquerades in America and Canada, and is now a master level cosplayer. He considers his specialty pattern drafting, and detailed sewing and accessory work. As part of team "Detailed Mess" has won the first World Cosplay Summit Canadian preliminaries and will represent Canada along with Miss Messy Mia in WCS 2015 in Japan. His most notable awards in the Masters category were for Best Reinterpretation for his Genderbent Elsa (Costume-Con 32, 2014) and Best in Show for his Thranduil (Pop Expo 2013).

It's about a girl who gets turned into a swan and she needs love to break the spell, but her prince falls for the wrong girl so she kills herself. Recording at the 2014 Daisho Con, in front of a live audience, we talk to Niq van der Aa (a.k.a. Detailed-Illusion) about Darren Aronofsky's mindbending drama, "Black Swan." Was I good?

Katz is a enigma wrapped in a riddle covered in bacon. Born the son of circus freaks, he honed his theatrical and acting skills at a young age. Theater in high school was infectious so much so it lead him to pursue local gigs after he graduated. Eventually working for a living overshadowed time for performing and he was a mercenary in Rhodesia and later supplied weapons to the contras. Settling down in the mid-80's, he worked personal security and did wetwork for various government agencies. Recently, the thespian muse has returned and he has supported or costarred in films and shorts for:

Fathead Films: Down the old Dirt Road Bloody Brit Productions: Conscience, Hobo With A Trashcan Shalenn Pictures: IDS 2, Mediatrix, IDS Rising

Rumors abound of his first film, which he will not speak of and deny being in (even though it's clearly him), as he still wishes the production company had been nuked from orbit. You can find him on IMDB as Michael Katzenberger but if you should happen to be a fan, don't ask for autographs, because, really, you don't need the social stigma.

Currently, he is working on films and a series with Wildhawk Entertainment much to their disappointment.

Somebody in this camp ain't what he appears to be. Right now that may be one or two of us. By spring, it could be all of us. Recording at the 2014 Teslacon, today we discuss John Carpenter's "The Thing!" Maybe we'll just warm things up a little around here.

Who’s dead? Recording at Four Star Video Co-Op in Madison, Wisconsin, we discuss the classic romantic comedy, “Moonstruck.” It’s a good scream. Love don't make things nice--it ruins everything. It breaks your heart. It makes things a mess.
